la description

Ride through a dense network of forest trails and listen to your tires on pine needles.

Head out from Cambridge down the Charles river finding the secret singletrack and assorted dirt as you make your way out of the chaos of the city. After pedaling through Waltham take a deep breath as you emerge into a dense network of forest trails, the sound of your tires muted by the covering of pine needles on the ground.

The route will wind you through my favorite path through Jericho and the surrounding forests, but there are dozens of other ways to make your way through to Concord, and almost no bad options. Consider taking a dip in the beautiful Walden Pond as you pass, or stop off for coffee and snacks in Concord center before heading back to the city by way of historic monuments and forgotten conservation land. Hopefully this ride will bring you a much needed reprieve from the world or at the very, least a fun few hours.
